Kristine Poyner, PA-C

A Florida native, Kristine Poyner  was born in Orlando and raised in Oviedo, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the University of Florida.  Kristine always knew that she belonged in medicine and while obtaining her undergraduate degree, also began the track to complete the Physician Assistant Program.  After graduation in 2005, she became a medical assistant in a dermatology office and realized that this specialty was an area of medicine that she would want to make her career.  In 2006 she began her two year Masters in Physician Assistant Studies and passed her boards shortly after graduation.

Kristine joined Dr. Ewanowski as he opened his practices here in the Tampa Bay Area in 2008.  Working closely in the practice with a Mohs and laser surgeon, she has broad training in surgical dermatology, cosmetics and general dermatology.  While her main focus is skin cancer screening and care for skin rashes, she also utilizes six of the practice’s seven lasers and performs facial rejuvenation with Botox, Fillers and Chemical peels, as well as minor surgical procedures.

Kristine’s expertise, professionalism, and dedication  has earned her the role of lead Physician Assistant, responsible for recruiting and mentoring our newest team members.

Rebecca joined Suncoast skin solutions with 5 years of experience after graduating from the University of Florida PA program in 2009.  While at UF, she earned the Outstanding Clinical Year Student Award.  Rebecca practices general and surgical dermatology.  She treats common skin conditions such as acne, warts, psoriasis, eczema, as well as performing skin exams for skin cancer and melanoma.  Rebecca is a native Floridian and grew up in Lakeland.  She enjoys running and has been doing triathlons for 4 years, completing Ironman Florida in 2011.  She enjoys spending time with her family and her dachshund Cooper.
